Lord Jesus, I thank You for bestowing on me and my love ones the gift of life. You know everything that has affected us physically, emotionally, spiritually and all our inmost experiences of mind and heart that have formed us into persons that we are now.
Forgive us, Lord, for any times that we have failed You. We forgive anyone who has failed or hurt us. Help us now to see that any illness has an important part to play in bringing us to the fullness You have destined us to be. Don’t let us lose or miss anything that You want to do through it to complete our lives on earth, and make us ready for eternal life with You in heaven.
We renounce any rebellion or fear. Though we do not quite understand Your way of directing us right now, we pray to let go of any possessiveness over our lives. We surrender all the details of our present situations into Your loving care.
Lord, we ask You to accept each breath we draw as an act of love and trust in You. You are our Saviour, and we lean upon Your loving Heart with the peace of a little child in its father’s arms. We know You will not forsake us. We love You, dearest Lord! Amen.
